For an outstanding undergraduate or graduate student in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at UBC Vancouver with a demonstrated interest in or commitment to some aspect of sustainable agri-food systems.
The scholarship is $1,800 from an endowment established by family and friends in honour of Dr. Richard Stace-Smith (BSA, 1950), a research plant pathologist with Agriculture Canada for 39 years and an adjunct professor at UBC who was recognized with the Order of British Columbia in 1999. Graduate recipients are selected in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
