Richard Edward Beck Prize

A senior or subspecialty resident in the Department of Medicine at UBC who has made an outstanding contribution to clinical teaching may receive this prize.

The prize is $850. It is awarded on the recommendation of the Department of Medicine. There is no separate application.

Dr. Richard E. Beck was hired in 1953 as the department's first clinical teaching fellow and served on the clinical teaching faculty until his retirement. His family endowed the prize in his honour.
