About this scholarship
Graduate students at UBC whose supervisor's primary appointment is in the Faculty of Medicine and who are undertaking research into HIV/AIDS may be considered, with consideration also given to those studying other infectious diseases or immune disorders.
The service award is $6,200. Adjudication is based on academic standing and research potential, as well as demonstrated leadership, extracurricular involvement, and commitment to community service. The award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine. There is no separate application.
It was endowed by Richard A. Robertson's wife, family, and friends. Robertson was a UBC graduate (B.A. 1971) known for his intellect, curiosity, and passion.
