About this scholarship
The Rensselaer Recognition Award is a non-need-based merit scholarship provided to select students based on a holistic review of academic record, extracurricular activities, and potential for success at the Institute. All incoming freshmen and transfer applicants are automatically considered when they apply for admission. Recipients may receive the award for up to eight semesters of full-time undergraduate study, or ten semesters for School of Architecture students. There is no minimum GPA required for annual renewal. Rensselaer does not combine multiple merit scholarships; students receive the single highest award for which they qualify.
