About this scholarship
The Rensselaer National Merit Recognition Award is provided to students who list Rensselaer as their first-choice institution but do not meet National Merit Scholarship Corporation criteria for the maximum Rensselaer National Merit Scholarship. Recipients are eligible to receive up to one thousand dollars annually. The combined total of the Rensselaer National Merit Scholarship and this recognition award cannot exceed two thousand dollars per year. Co-terminal and architecture students may not receive more than eight semesters of eligibility. Students are considered automatically through the admission and National Merit reporting process.
