About this scholarship
The Regents' Student Merit Scholarship is Prairie View A&M University's most prestigious award for recent high school graduates entering as first-time freshmen. Recipients receive tuition and mandatory fees, on-campus housing, meals, and a six hundred dollar per semester book allowance each academic year, excluding summer terms. Non-resident Regents' Scholars also receive an out-of-state tuition waiver. Students are automatically considered at admission when they graduated high school within twelve months of enrollment, hold a minimum three point five high school GPA, and meet SAT or ACT score thresholds. Renewal requires thirty semester credit hours per year with a three point two cumulative GPA for up to eight semesters.
