RAA Scholarship Fund

The NSHSS Poetry Scholarship awards two $2,000 scholarships to NSHSS members graduating from high school in 2026, 2027, 2028, or 2029. Applicants submit an original poem in any style, a brief artist statement and author biography of no more than 200 words, an academic resume, transcript, headshot, and educator recommendation.

No-essay sweepstakes celebrating student athletes and school spirit, sponsored by lender Ascent Funding. Legal U.S. or D.C. residents age 14 or older enrolled at least half-time in high school, a degree program, or technical training, or parents of such students, may submit one online entry. No purchase or Ascent loan is required. One $2,500 winner is drawn at random after the entry period closes.

Bold.org exclusive award supporting undergraduate or graduate students passionate about women's health, especially premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and premenstrual exacerbation (PME). Fields include medicine, neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology, biomedical engineering, nursing, pharmacy, and related areas. One $2,380 winner. 400–600 word essay required. The Law Office of Donald L. Bell awards $1,500 to a United States citizen or permanent resident age 17 or older who is enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, maintains at least a 2.7 GPA, and demonstrates commitment to uplifting underserved communities through volunteerism or advocacy. The public application requires a two-minute video response, an academic transcript, and proof of enrollment when the transcript does not establish current enrollment.

Kadzai Law Group awards $2,500 to a first-generation college student age 17 or older who is a United States citizen or permanent resident and is enrolled in an accredited U.S. undergraduate, graduate, or trade-school program. Applicants submit a 3- to 5-minute video about how being a first-generation student has shaped or may shape their higher-education experience, together with an academic transcript and proof of enrollment when the transcript does not show current enrollment.

U.S. citizens or permanent residents who identify as women and are in the final year of dissertation work for a Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent research doctorate may apply. You must have completed coursework, passed preliminary exams, and received research proposal approval. The fellowship provides $25,000 for one year of full-time dissertation completion. The number of recipients varies. Apply by the posted deadline. Selection weighs scholarly excellence, project quality, and commitment to women and girls through service or research.
