About this scholarship
The Provost's Undergraduate Research Scholarship provides one thousand dollars per semester of mentored research to University of Houston juniors and seniors. Eligible students have completed at least sixty credits by the mentorship period, maintain minimum twelve-credit enrollment unless graduating that semester, and hold a 3.0 UH cumulative GPA after twelve or more UH hours, or 3.5 on all college coursework if fewer than twelve UH hours. Prior PURS participants at UH are ineligible to reapply. Students work with a UH faculty mentor on a research project during the award semester. Apply through the undergraduate research program application when the cycle opens each year.
