About this scholarship
Graduating students from Vancouver Island public and private high schools, including Powell River and Bella Bella, may be nominated by their school for one of six President's High School Entrance Scholarships at Vancouver Island University.
Each $10,000 scholarship covers full tuition less ancillary fees. Nominees must be completing grade 12 with an A average of 90% or higher, with no mark below a B in each of eight defined academic courses across grades 11 and 12. Scholarships are renewable through a first certificate, diploma, or degree at VIU (maximum 120 credits) if recipients maintain a GPA of 3.67 with at least an 80% course load each semester.
High schools submit their top graduating student for consideration rather than students applying individually.
