About this scholarship
Jacksonville State University awards one Presidential Transfer Leadership Scholarship valued at full tuition to an outstanding transfer student from an Alabama Community College System partner institution each cycle. Candidates need a 3.5 Jax State-calculated transfer GPA, 45 or more transferable hours from an ACCS college, first-time transfer status, good academic and disciplinary standing, demonstrated balance of academics with campus involvement, community service, work, or family responsibilities, and commitment to serve as a Transfer Student Mentor during the first year. Partner colleges nominate candidates; recipients must accept by May 1 and begin in a fall term. The tuition-only award replaces prior merit offers and renews one year.
