Outstanding graduating undergraduate or graduate students in the UBC Vancouver Department of Political Science are eligible.
The award is a $500 prize from the Goel Family in memory of Prem Goel and in memory of the victims of the Jewish Holocaust.

Prem Goel was born in India in 1933 and earned her Bachelor of Arts at age 18. She came to Canada with her husband Dr. Devendra Goel in 1954. UBC held a special place in her heart: her children, grandchildren, and extended family all graduated from the university.
