UBC students in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or in the Electrical option in Engineering Physics, with interest and achievement in communication system design or integrated circuit design. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
Five awards of $5,700 each (awards totalling $28,500).
No separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The endowment was established by Kevin Huscroft, a founder of PMC-Sierra, Inc., and enhanced by Greg Aasen and other founders.
