About this scholarship
The Pioneer Leaders Award is a pre-scholarship granted to high school juniors nominated by their high school guidance counselor in the spring of junior year who enroll at Alfred State College for the fall semester immediately following high school graduation. The award provides one thousand dollars per year for associate degree seekers or three thousand five hundred dollars per year for bachelor's degree seekers, applied to non-tuition expenses. Students may be considered for additional merit scholarships but total merit aid at admission will not exceed college maximum levels. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 GPA and full-time on-campus enrollment.
