About this scholarship
The Performing Arts Scholarship in Music at Lehigh University recognizes exceptional incoming instrumental musicians of any academic major who demonstrate talent and leadership and agree to participate in two instrumental ensembles designated by ensemble directors. Recipients receive $5,000 per academic year, disbursed by semester, plus free lessons on their primary instrument. The scholarship renews for up to eight consecutive semesters while the student maintains a 2.8 GPA, full-time enrollment, and active ensemble membership. A separate music department application is due January 5. Students offered both this award and the Snyder Marching Scholarship must choose one.
