About this scholarship
Female high school seniors who are U.S. or Canadian citizens or legal permanent residents with a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA, recommended by a local P.E.O. chapter, may receive a one-time award for full-time study at an accredited U.S. or Canadian postsecondary institution the following academic year.
The award is $2,500. Recipient count varies by chapter nominations.
Local chapters submit recommendations from August 15 through October 15. Nominated students then have 30 days to complete the online application, including a 700-word essay, transcript, community service record, and two letters of recommendation, plus a chapter interview.
The Philanthropic Educational Organization supports exceptional young women through chapter-based merit nominations.
