About this scholarship
For a fourth-year UBC Vancouver undergraduate in the Astronomy Program. If no suitable candidate is available in Astronomy, the scholarship may go to a student pursuing a combined Astronomy/Physics honours degree.
The scholarship is $1,200. It is made on the recommendation of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, with no separate student application.
The family of Professor Emeritus Paul Sykes endowed the award in recognition of his passion for and dedication to astronomy.
