About this scholarship

Open to a Canadian citizen in the top 25% of their year in the UBC Vancouver Bachelor of International Economics program who is highly motivated with strong career ambition. Preference is given to students demonstrating financial need.

The award is $11,000, funded annually through a gift from Patricia M. Mohr (B.A. Economics 1968, M.A. Economics 1970). The award is made on the recommendation of the Vancouver School of Economics. There is no separate student application.

Patricia Mohr is an internationally respected Canadian economist and commodities expert who served as Scotiabank's Vice-President, Economics and Commodity Market Specialist. She designed the Scotiabank Commodity Price Index.
