About this scholarship

For UBC Medical Genetics trainees (undergraduate, graduate, or resident) taking courses in Medical Genetics who demonstrate research excellence.

The prize is $1,300, including a certificate, from an endowment honouring Dr. Patricia A. Baird, former Head of the Department of Medical Genetics from 1978 to 1989.

There is no separate application. The Department of Medical Genetics, in consultation with a faculty committee, recommends the recipient.
