About this scholarship
First-generation female Florida residents entering freshman year at a four-year public in-state university may apply. First-generation is defined as neither parents, grandparents, nor siblings having attended college.
One scholar receives funding that closes the gap between existing aid and the true cost of attendance for up to four years, plus one summer learning opportunity, with mentoring support and GPA requirements. Award amount varies.
Applicants must submit FAFSA, the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA), and proof of applying to at least two other external scholarships.
The Atkins Educational Foundation supports first-generation women from acceptance through graduation.
