Outstanding Thunderbird International Varsity Award

Continuing international student-athletes at UBC Vancouver who have completed at least 18 credits toward their undergraduate degree, or who meet the requirements of their athletic governing body or the Department of Athletics and Recreation, may be considered. Recipients must demonstrate strong athletic and academic achievement plus engagement with the Athletics department.

Awards of up to $10,000 each are offered. Prospective recipients are nominated by the head coach of the relevant sport, and a committee reviews eligible candidates to make final decisions. There is no separate application.
