About this scholarship
The Orange and Black Award is a renewable merit scholarship for first-time, full-time freshmen entering SUNY Buffalo State University in the fall semester. Buffalo State uses a holistic review of each student's academic record to select recipients, and no separate scholarship application is required beyond the admission application. The award provides up to $1,000 per year for four years when students remain continuously enrolled full time and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Students who graduate early forfeit any unused portions of the scholarship, and awards are subject to available funding with May 1 priority consideration.
