About this scholarship
For undergraduate and graduate students at UBC Vancouver who conduct mycological research. Undergraduates must be current participants in a UBC research project, such as a Science Undergraduate Research Experience program, directed studies, or an honours project. Graduate students should be researching fungi or their ecosystems. Preference goes to students researching the mushroom-forming fungi of British Columbia.
The award is $2,100, administered by the Department of Botany and the UBC Herbarium.

The endowment was established by Jean and Stephen Johnson and fellow members of the South Vancouver Island Mycological Society and the Vancouver Mycological Society, honoring the contributions of Oluna and Adolf Ceska to mycology in British Columbia and beyond.
