About this scholarship

The Nutmeg Scholarship honors exceptional Connecticut secondary school seniors admitted to UConn's Storrs campus with a full scholarship covering direct and indirect cost of attendance. Up to twenty recipients are selected statewide each year based on academic achievement, leadership, community service, and citizenship. Eligible Connecticut residents need a minimum 3.7 GPA, top-ten-percent class rank when available, and strong extracurricular records. Applicants submit the Common or Coalition application by November 1, complete the Nutmeg supplemental form by November 8 with essays and two recommendations, and may interview.
