Norman H. Newman Family Business Award

Full-time students who demonstrate financial need may be considered for this bursary. Preference is given to relatives of Fr. Bauer. One bursary worth $1,000 is available. The bursary may be renewable if the recipient continues to meet the criteria, but a new application is required each year.

Full-time Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts and Science in Health students at St. Francis Xavier University who are Canadian citizens, attended high school in Cape Breton, and demonstrate financial need are eligible. Applicants need an 85% entrance average and must maintain a 70% average to renew in years two through four. Preference goes to students involved in extracurricular or community leadership activities. One bursary of up to $4,000 is available. Apply through the StFX limited bursary program.

St. Francis Xavier University full-time undergraduates (including BEd and MEd) in second through fourth year, registered in 30 credits, with financial need, at least a 75% average from the previous year, recent or current part-time employment, and a commitment to working against conditions that foster violence (primarily through community service) may receive up to $1,000.
