About this scholarship
The Norlyn Bodkin Scholarship for Botanical Research supports undergraduate or graduate students conducting botanical research in the JMU Biology Department. Up to two scholarships of two thousand dollars each may be awarded each academic year until available funds are exhausted, and no award is made if no eligible student applies in a given year. Recipients are selected at the discretion of the Biology Department head following James Madison University guidelines for scholarship awarding. Students engaged in botanical research projects, field study, or related independent work in the department should express interest through faculty advisors and the Madison Scholarships Hub when recommended.
