About this scholarship
Women in physics, engineering, or related fields with interest in optics and photonics may apply for merit- and need-based support. The program selects 20 scholars annually from universities worldwide; US applicants are eligible alongside international students.
Each scholar receives $10,000 plus a one-year Optica Student Membership, mentorship platform access, and connection with a mentor.
Applications typically open in mid-October and close November 30 each cycle. The 2026 recipients were announced on the foundation page.
