About this scholarship
Non-EEA students, including Americans and Canadians, may receive partial funding for a full-time bachelor's or master's at participating Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. Applicants must not already hold a degree from a Dutch institution.
The NL Scholarship pays a one-time €5,000 grant in the first year of study. It does not cover full tuition; students must still fund remaining fees and living costs.
Apply directly to a participating institution when you apply for admission. The 2026-2027 round opened November 1, 2025; each university sets its own February or May deadline.
