Second-year full-time undergraduate students in mining engineering programs at Canadian universities may apply for the Stantec Mining Engineering Scholarship. Applicants must be permanent residents of Canada and remain active in their mining program.
One national $2,000 scholarship is awarded annually based on academic achievement and commitment to a mining engineering career. Recipients are announced in December.
Application packages are due October 30 and include the form, transcript, enrollment confirmation, 400-word essay on attraction to the mining industry, and resume.
Stantec and the CIM Foundation established this perpetual scholarship in 2019 to strengthen Canada's mining engineering workforce.
