PEI Create Grant

Professional Prince Edward Island artists in crafts, dance, film, music, theatre, visual arts, writing, and related disciplines may apply for creation funding. Applicants must be PEI residents for at least 12 consecutive months before the deadline. Amateur artists and students are ineligible for Create grants; emerging and established professional tiers are supported.

Annual maximums are $5,000 for emerging professional artists and $8,000 for established professionals. Eligible costs include living expenses (up to $800 per month), travel, accommodation, materials, research, documentation, and equipment rental. Capital equipment purchases are ineligible.

Fall 2026 applications open September 21 at 12 p.m. and close October 19 at 4 p.m. Applicants may submit to up to two PEI Arts Grant streams per round but only one per stream.

Innovation PEI's Cultural Development division administers peer-assessed PEI Arts Grants for the province's professional artists.
