About this scholarship
The Nicaraguan Student Scholarship supports University of Miami undergraduates of Nicaraguan heritage or born in Nicaragua who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents pursuing a first baccalaureate degree in an eligible major listed on the application. Applicants must be in good academic standing with at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA, demonstrate financial need through the current-year FAFSA and CSS Profile, and submit the separate scholarship application. Awards are made by the Student Financial Assistance and Employment Office after need analysis. See the application for the current list of eligible majors.
