About this scholarship
Nebraska residents with demonstrated financial need who complete the FAFSA and enroll at a participating Nebraska postsecondary institution may receive the Nebraska Opportunity Grant (formerly the Nebraska State Grant). Eligibility is based in part on the Student Aid Index from the FAFSA.
Awards are need-based grants administered through eligible schools. The average award is about $2,320. Amounts and deadlines are set by each institution.
Apply for admission to an eligible Nebraska school, complete the FAFSA, and check with your financial aid office for any additional required forms. Notification comes from your school.
