NCRA student members enrolled in a stenographic court reporting or captioning program who completed an internship within the past 12 months and hold at least a 3.5 GPA may apply for the NCRF Student Intern Scholarship.
Four $2,000 awards are offered. Judicial-path applicants need a passed Q&A test at 180 or more words per minute; CART or captioning applicants need 160 or more wpm literary. Submit a nomination form, transcript, recommendation letter, and 400-word essay. Nominations for the listed cycle open in September 2026.

Furr and Monumental Honor award one $5,000 scholarship honoring Medal of Honor recipient James Mifflin to a Virginia student pursuing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding, construction, manufacturing, or another skilled trade or continuing-education program. International cross-disciplinary art competition for grades 6–12 students worldwide. Free initial entry allows up to three submissions across categories including traditional art, video, literature, science-plus-art, and theater. Top 10% advance to final judging with a $25 finalist fee. Cash awards go to the overall winner and runners-up; top 15 receive recommendation letters. Active SICB-member graduate students in integrative and comparative biology who have not previously received a SICB GIAR or FGST award may apply for the Grants-in-Aid of Research Program. Awards of up to $1,000 fund supplies and local field costs (not major travel). About 25 to 35 awards are typically made from roughly $30,000 in total funding. Applications are submitted electronically.
