About this scholarship
The National Merit Commended Scholarship at Liberty University awards full tuition after subtracting other non-loan aid such as institutional scholarships, FSEOG, and VTAG for up to four consecutive years. Commended students must join the Honors Scholars program and provide a National Merit Scholarship Corporation letter or certificate. Liberty awards a limited number of these competitive scholarships annually, historically around fifty total across all National Merit tiers. Apply early in the spring before enrollment. Federal Pell Grant is excluded from the tuition offset. Current Liberty students who did not receive the award at entry are not eligible.
