About this scholarship
The National Excellence Scholarship is one of Indiana University Bloomington's OEM Excellence Scholarships for incoming out-of-state first-year students with high academic performance. IU evaluates coursework rigor, high school GPA, and grades in required admission courses; test scores are not considered. Students must submit a complete IU Bloomington admission application by November 1. Award amounts vary and scholarships are finalized by April 1. Recipients learn their award through the Financial Aid Summary. Jacobs School of Music applicants are ineligible for OEM Excellence Scholarships and must pursue music-specific aid separately.
