Currently enrolled MA or PhD students doing recognizably public-history research or practice may apply for one of five $500 travel awards connected to the 2027 NCPH Annual Meeting in St. Louis. Applicants may apply while their session, poster, working-group, or other presentation proposal is still pending, but an award is contingent on acceptance.
Submit the public online form with an itemized travel budget, a CV or resume, and one supplemental PDF containing the meeting abstract, a narrative of no more than 500 words addressing the presentation's contribution, argument, public-history significance, and financial need, proof of current enrollment, and an advisor or department-chair signature. Prior NCPH Travel Award recipients are ineligible.

The deadline is December 1, 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline are typically not considered, so plan to finish early.
