National Beta Scholarship Program

Bold.org exclusive memorial award for high school seniors, undergraduates, or graduate students personally affected by mental illness or with a family member affected by mental illness. One $2,000 winner. Applicants write a 400–600 word essay on how mental illness has affected them and/or their family. Apply directly on Bold.org; deadline Dec 31, 2026; winners announced Feb 1, 2027.

National program for rising high school seniors who design and lead a youth service project on or around September 11. Participants receive a free planning toolkit, carry out the project with an adult advisor, and document impact. After completing the project, outstanding leaders may apply for one of up to ten $5,000 college scholarships judged on leadership, creativity, and community impact. Applications open October 1, 2026 and close December 31, 2026.

CARRY awards at least $500 to a current high-school senior or full-time undergraduate student who will enroll full-time at an accredited college or university for the applicable fall semester. The public application requires a recommendation, transcript or acceptance letter, resume, and applicant-authored personal video of no more than two minutes.
