About this scholarship
The My Journey Scholarship invites new incoming full-time undergraduate students at UH Hilo to share personal essays tied to Hawaiian values. Applicants must have applied to UH Hilo with all supplemental admission documents received by the deadline. Submit a 500-word essay in one or more categories: ʻĀina (land), Kuleana (responsibility), Mālama (stewardship), or ʻOhana (family). Unique essays are required for each category applied to. Awardees are selected in each category. The application deadline is March 1, 2026. Students must be classified undergraduates enrolling full-time for the award term.
