About this scholarship
Merit scholarship funded by donations from School of Music faculty to support entering freshmen music majors at Western Carolina University. Awards are made based on audition results for the principal performance area, admission to the university, and completion of the WCU scholarship application by February 1. Recipients must demonstrate satisfactory progress toward a music degree and reapply through the scholarship portal each year to renew funding. Audition by the last scheduled school-wide audition day is required for full consideration alongside the university application and music aptitude evaluation administered by the department.
