About this scholarship
Texas residents who are at least 17 years old with a minimum 3.3 GPA (or equivalent) may apply for the Murray Watson, Jr. Scholarship from Brazos Higher Education. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors, current college students, or graduate students who are accepted and committed to attend, or enrolled in, a U.S.-accredited state or nonprofit college or university.
One $5,000 scholarship is awarded. Selection considers academic performance, financial need, readiness, commitment to study, and other factors.
Register through the official scholarship site. Applications for each monthly period are those received from 12:00 a.m. Central Time on the first day of the month through 11:59 p.m. CT on the last day. Registrants may apply only once per academic year (August through July).
