Muriel Upshall Memorial Scholarship

Nursing graduates and undergraduates at UBC Vancouver may be nominated.

Two scholarships of $2,600 each are endowed in memory of Muriel Upshall by her friends and colleagues. Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the School of Nursing. There is no separate student application.

Muriel Upshall (B.Ap.Sc. Nursing 1929) worked as a public health nurse in Nanaimo and Richmond before joining UBC's Student Health Service in 1937, where she served until retiring in 1971.
