About this scholarship

For a student or students on the University of New Brunswick Fredericton campus. The prize is worth up to $2,000 annually and is awarded in this order of priority: junior-level (61–90 ch) Latin and Greek, or junior-level Latin only if no Greek candidates qualify; then the best-qualified Honours or Majors Classics student in Historical Studies; then any other junior or senior student taking Historical Studies courses; then the student with the highest standing in the penultimate year of a bachelor's program, regardless of faculty.

Offered in memory of George Montgomery-Campbell, Professor of Classics at UNB from 1861 until his death in 1871, and first awarded to the graduating class of 1880.
