Outstanding domestic students entering UBC Vancouver directly from secondary school or transferring from another post-secondary institution may be considered for these renewable entrance awards. Recipients must be academically qualified and would not be able to attend UBC without financial assistance. Consideration is also given to leadership, community service, and extracurricular achievement.
Renewable entrance awards totalling $4,500 are available from an endowment established by Mohammad Ghattan-Kashani. Subject to continued good academic standing, awards are renewed for up to three additional years of study or until the first undergraduate degree is obtained (whichever comes first). Apply through the UBC Entrance Award application. The Centennial Scholars Entrance Award Committee recommends recipients.
