Mo Lin Yu Memorial Prize in the Faculty of Arts

Open to the top academic student who has completed third year in the UBC Vancouver Faculty of Arts.

The prize is $5,950, funded through an endowment established by Simmon Yu in memory of his mother, Mo Lin Yu. One award is made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Arts. There is no separate student application.

Mo Lin Yu came to Canada in the 1980s and did not have the opportunity to study at UBC, but she had a lifelong passion for learning and believed young people should be encouraged to pursue academic excellence in higher education.
