About this scholarship

Graduate students in the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences who demonstrate research excellence through peer-reviewed journal publication may be considered. Eligible candidates must have published or been accepted for publication in any of the top three journals in their discipline; in the absence of a peer-reviewed publication, research presented at a prestigious conference may be considered. Preference is given to students who take an interdisciplinary approach and/or show exceptional inventiveness or initiative. In the case of a truly exceptional candidate, both awards may be combined into one. These awards are not intended to replace other graduate funding.

Two awards of $7,500 each are offered.

The awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate application.

Sarvajna and Seema Dwivedi endowed the awards in honour of Dr. Alan G. Mitchell and in memory of Dr. Rewa Prasad Dwivedi.
