About this scholarship
For third-year students enrolled in Field Geology (EOSC 328) at UBC's Oliver-based Geological Field School on the Vancouver campus.
Two awards of $1,000 each honor Mike Casselman, an exploration geologist who valued environmental preservation alongside mineral exploration. Preference goes to students with strong academic performance during Field School, passion for mapping, and commitment to supporting fellow students.
A committee including the Field School Director and EOAS faculty selects recipients after Field School concludes. There is no separate application.
