Michael Rust-Smith Science One Memorial Scholarship

For outstanding students who have completed the Science One Program at UBC Vancouver. Preference goes to students who have embraced the Science One philosophy, where intellectual growth comes through creativity and an inquisitive mind, and who have shown a passion for the natural sciences. High academic standing is expected, but is not the primary criterion.

Scholarships of $1,950 each are funded by an endowment established by the family and friends of Michael Rust-Smith.

Made on the recommendation of the Science One teaching team in consultation with the Director of the Science One Program. No separate application.

Michael Rust-Smith was a Science One student who lived a full and joyous life and was fascinated by science and the natural world.
