Michael McQueen Scholarship

Open to a UBC Vancouver Theatre student entering third or fourth year who has demonstrated aptitude and dedication for technical theatre and intends to pursue a career in the field.

The award is a $1,350 scholarship endowed in memory of Michael McQueen by his family, friends, and colleagues. No separate application; recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Theatre and Film.

McQueen studied technical theatre at UBC, became a lighting technician and designer, and owned his own rigging company before his death at age 32.
