About this scholarship
Memphis Promise is a last-dollar University of Memphis scholarship that fills remaining tuition gaps for qualifying Tennessee residents after federal Pell Grant, Tennessee state grants, and institutional aid are applied. Eligible students must be graduating high school seniors entering the university immediately in the fall as first-time freshmen who qualify for both the HOPE Scholarship and the Federal Pell Grant. Students apply to the university, complete the FAFSA, and list the University of Memphis as their school of choice with TSAC. Award amounts vary based on remaining tuition need after other aid.
