Sophomores at Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship member institutions pursuing humanities or humanistic social science majors may be nominated through their campus MMUF program. Fellows receive a $4,000 per year academic-year stipend during junior and senior years, plus additional research and graduate-school preparation support.
Campus programs select fellows in the spring of sophomore year. Apply through your institution's MMUF coordinator with required academic and personal materials, and participate in interviews or selection processes as required. MMUF was established to broaden scholarly perspectives in the academy and support students committed to pursuing a PhD and increasing diversity in higher education.
