About this scholarship
The McConnell Scholars Program is a four-year co-curricular scholarship at Saint Joseph's University honoring President Cheryl A. McConnell, PhD. Incoming first-year students apply separately by February 15 after submitting their admission application, demonstrating commitment to inclusive leadership and advancing gender justice and equity. Selected scholars receive a $35,000 annual scholarship, priority registration, cohort housing in Sister Thea Bowman Residence Hall, mentorship, and program coursework. If awarded, this scholarship supersedes any other Saint Joseph's University scholarship or grant. Scholars must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and participate in program requirements.
